We first met the Bibotech team at a trade fair and were impressed by their compact three head keg washer, it was something we were in the market for, and decided to go for this model as it fit our needs perfectly. Delivery and commissioning were fast, and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of kegs we could wash in one day! The versatility of the machine and ease of use when changing parameters make this a great choice for smaller breweries. We have not had many issues with the machine since purchasing it, but the team from Bibotech have always been just a call away to resolve any small issues we came across. I would highly recommend their goods/services, and look forward to continuing to working with them in the future.
We purchased a BiboKeg in 2022, and 3 years later, the machine is running as well as it did when we first got it. Whenever we had questions or needed to replace wear parts, the Bibotech team has always been super quick and efficient in their communications. Thank you!
For our beer and soda production equipment, we have often had the opportunity to seek advice from David or his team. We are very satisfied with our purchases in terms of quality and price. BiboTech's technical expertise is genuine. When it comes to technically advanced matters, we prefer to ask BiboTech for advice and buy their solutions. In 5 years of cooperation, they have always prioritized quality while offering the best prices for quality equivalent to more well-known suppliers.
It allowed us to get into canning on a low price point, compared to an automated line, and allowed us to get our product to the customer with lower d.o levels than bottling. Our IPAs have been fantastic as well all our other beers. I'm happy to recommend Bibotech to anyone looking to get into canning, Thanks again.
We purchased the manual canning. The team was super accomplished technically in advising and commissioning the system. The customer service and David's help is second to none.
What can I say? The two-head machine is super dependable, it's actually so fast that the seaming can hardly keep up with the filling!
Effective keg washing depends on four core CIP parameters:
Time – Typical cycles run 3–8 minutes for proper soil removal.
Temperature – Heat boosts chemical effectiveness.
Chemical concentration – Correct dosing ensures cleaning without damage.
Mechanical action – Flow and pressure physically remove residue.
All four must work together for consistent hygiene.
One issue we see too often is running a caustic wash on kegs that still contain CO₂—a risky and wasteful mistake.
Caustic neutralization
CO₂ reacts with caustic cleaners (such as NaOH), weakening them. The result is poor soil removal and lingering residue.
Structural risk
This reaction can create a vacuum inside the keg, stressing gaskets and seals. While collapse is rare in kegs, the risk is avoidable.
Best practice: Always fully depressurize kegs before starting a caustic wash.
Automated keg washing and filling systems increase efficiency by:
Cleaning and filling more kegs per hour
Reducing manual labor and operator error
Optimizing water, chemical, and energy use
Delivering consistent hygiene and fill accuracy
The result is lower operating costs, reduced product loss, and predictable quality, allowing brewery staff to focus on brewing rather than handling.
Beer stone is calcium oxalate, a hard mineral deposit inside kegs.
Forms from calcium and oxalate during brewing
Resists standard caustic cleaners
Removed with acid cleaning cycles
Regular acid washes prevent buildup and hygiene issues.
